Short Description:
The study focusses on causal effects of the statutory minimum wage on employment and unemployment. The previously available results about the short- and medium-term effects of the minimum wage are extended until the year 2022. The study analyses the effects of the introduction of the minimum wage in 2015 and its increases between 2017 and 2022. The analysis distinguishes between different forms of employment, socio-demographic and regional characteristics, as well as economic sectors. The data used comes from the employment statistics of the Federal Employment Agency.
