Kurzbeschreibung:
The Startchancen-Programme, launched by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the 2024/25 school year, is set to run for ten years. With a total budget of €20 billion, the program aims to support approximately 4,000 schools facing significant social challenges, benefiting around one million students. Its goal is to promote educational equity and sustainably improve learning conditions. The evaluation is conducted within a research consortium led by the Institute for Applied Social Science (infas) in Bonn. The aim of the evaluation is to analyze the implementation and impact of the program. Our focus at Evaluation Office will be on examining the efficiency and effectiveness of the measures as well as their long-term outcomes. The findings will be communicated transparently and discussed in dialogue with academia, policymakers, and practitioners to strengthen the program’s impact and efficiency.
